Here in Montreal area I went to my local Maxi or Canadian Super Store for the rest of Canada (a store similar to WalMart). And they had a stack of 25 PS3 sitting there in the shelf of the electronics section and nobody seem to take any of them. I first saw them on saturday the 30th and when I went back yesterday on the 31th at 16:00 (the store was closing at 17:00) and the stock didnt move at all, I even stay a while in that section to see if someone would eventually pick one. And after 30 mins no sign, so I went back home but inform one of my friend who was looking for one and he will go pick it up tomorow on the 2nd.
Ohh and it was all 60gb version, no 20gb insight. And of course I also check for Wii and DS and they had no in stock.

I live in Iowa City, IA. On Friday, while shopping at Target (which is in a mall next to Best Buy) I noticed a single 60GB PS3 in the case. I made some offhand remark about the fact that no one wanted to buy it, and the employee in that section said he couldn't believe that no one had picked it up as they had it on display since morning.
He told me that I could flip it for $400, which I already knew wasn't possible, but I didn't disagree with him. When I got home I took a quick peek at eBay and saw the average flip price going for about $650 for 60GB models.
Doesn't look like a good start for Sony's "the only PS3"
